Mini Mummi Month!

Yesterday I got a message from WordPress, saying that it’s been a month since I started this blog:

I was surprised that it had already been that long – it certainly doesn’t feel like it, which, I guess, is a good sign. maintaining this blog doesn’t feel like work, and looking into different ways of improving it and getting it out there for mummy bloggers to read is actually pretty exciting!

Tips for expressing milk

Being able to express breastmilk can bring you a little bit of freedom when looking after an infant. Whether it is so that you can get someone else to feed your baby so that you can have a break or get stuff done, or to give your boobs some respite during those periods where your little one seems to eat all day, giving your baby expressed breastmilk ensures that they have the best source of nourishment possible.

Cold & flu, and baby, too …

It is heartbreaking to see your child suffer, especially when they don’t understand what is happening to them. So, what can you do to help your little one?

Tips for nappy time

When you have a baby – particularly an infant – you tend to feel like you’re changing nappies nonstop! It can be a challenge if your little one fusses a lot at nappy time.

In the first couple of months, my little man hated nappy time because it meant having a bare bum. He did not like being naked, even in preparation for a warm bath. He’d cry inconsolably, which would stress me out and make me dread nappy time, too.

Here are some tips and tricks that I find helpful to keep bub happy while changing his nappy!

Hello, from Mini Mummi Blogger!

Welcome to the Mini Mummi blog! As a new mum to a beautiful little boy, I was finding it difficult to apply conflicting advice … Between reading parenting books, listening to other mums’ (recent and otherwise) experiences, and hearing from midwives and other baby experts, I soon realised I had to decide what was best for me and my baby.

I thought it would be nice to share some of my experiences and tips I’ve picked up along the way so far with other new mums through a mummy blog. And so, Mini Mummi blogger was born!
